- Description
- The Center for Health Care Contracting intends to award a fixed price sole source contract to provide performance and reporting of HIV-1 testing for the initial screening, supplementary and confirmatory testing services employing both an FDA-approved ELISA test derived from whole viral lysate and a Recombinant Protein ELISA test using the Western Blot technique on serum specimen furnished by designated active duty U.S. Army, U.S. Army Reserve Physical Examination sites (PES), U.S. Coast Guard (PES), V eterans Administration PHS, and Federal Occupational Health sites. Negotiations are to be conducted solely with Viro-MED Laboratory Inc. under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). Request for Proposal (RFP) number W 81K04-05-R-0041 will be issued on or about 9 Sept 2005. Viro-MED shall provide all necessary qualified personnel and services, material, equipment, and supplies to perform and report HIV-1 testing requirements. The period of performance shall be 1 Oct 2005 to 31 March 2006. The North American Industrial Code System (NAICS) code is 621511.
