Description
I. INTRODUCTION. A. This is a synopsis for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.6, as supplemented with additional information in this notice. This announcement constitutes only the synopsis. B. The synopsis number is: W56HZV-05-R-L502. C. This acquisition is not set aside for small business. The NAICS codes applicable to this acquisition is 541330 Engineering Services and 541542 Information Technology Services. D. The combined GSA Schedules applicable to this acquisition are GSA Schedule 874 (SIN 7), Program Integration and Project Management and GSA Schedule 70 (SIN 132-51), Information Technology Programming Services. E. Basis for award  Award shall be made to the responsible offeror whose proposal represents the best overall value to the Government. II. GENERAL. A. The TARDEC office of the Associate Director (AD) for Survivability Technology Area (STA) is comprised of seven research and technology groups focused in developing different areas of manned ground vehicle survivability technologies for the U.S. Army. The Survivability and Technology Area requires program management support, and software programming and modeling support to develop and implement plans and programs for research and technology groups that address enhanced vehicle protection for the Stryker ? Family of Vehicles, Future Combat Systems (FCS), and other manned ground vehicles. STA requires a structured approach involving: conducting trade-off analysis, quantifying and understanding user requirements, conducting user evaluations, developing advanced survivability technologies, developing a strategic plan, and developing Army Technology Objectives (ATO) and Advanced Technology Demonstrator plans.
