- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs, National Acquisition Center, has a requirement for 24-Hour Specimen Containers under VAs national standardization program. This item will be procured under a Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside. The item description requirements and values are as follows: 1. Acid resistant 2. Non-breakable 3. Opening greater than 2 inches 4. Brown/oranage in color 5. Handle 6. 3000 cc capacity or greater 7. Graduated markings 8. Leak-proof container 9. Leak-proof screw type lid 10. Ease of open/close top 11. Ability to mark on surface 12. Surface that will accept a pre-glued label. The NAICS Code for this item is 339113. All offerors shall be required to submit product samples and product literature by solicitation closing date. The contract period will be for a base period of one year plus four one-year option periods. An estimated annual quantity of 136,764 is anticipated for the following combined sizes and quantities: 2500ML, 2,640 each; 3000ML, 127,220 each; 3500ML, 100 each; 3700ML, 384 each; and 4000ML, 6,420 each. If offeror is not the acutual manufacturer, a signed agreement between the offeror and the Small Business manufacturer must be submitted by the offeror with offer guaranteeing the solicitation quantities from the manufacturer for the base and four option periods. The end product furnished must be manufactured or produced in the United States or its outlying areas. OFFERS ARE NOT BEING SOLICITED AT THIS TIME. All offerors shall be required to submit their own manufactured products or those manufactured by other Small Business manufacturers. An Electronic version of the solicitation will be available on or about September 21, 2005 for download at the following URL: http://vaww.bos.OAMM.va.gov/ The solicitation will be issued on or about September 21, 2005 with a closing date of October 21, 2005. Offers on 797-NC-05-0060 will be due by 4:00 CST on October 21, 2005.
