- The Department of Veterans Affairs Facilities within the Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 7), which includes VA Medical Centers in Atlanta, Augusta, and Dublin, GA; VA Medical Centers in Birmingham, Montgomery, and Tuscaloosa, AL; and VA Medical Centers in Charleston, and Columbia, SC; is issuing a solicitation to provide medical transcription services for dictated material which includes highly technical terminology and requires a comprehensive knowledge of specialized vocabularies. The specialized vocabularies will encompass a variety of subjects in the field of medicine and surgery. VISN 7 will award a single contract for all medical centers. The solicitation will be issued with a base year and four (4) one-year VA discretionary options for renewal. The NAICS code for this procurement is 561410, with a small business size standard of $6.0 million. This procurement is set aside for small businesses. The solicitation will be issued o/a 12 Oct 05. Evaluation factors will be personnel qualifications, past performance, quality assurance plan, staffing and equipment, and pricing. The relative importance of each is descending order of precedence.
