Description

Due to a clerical error, the wrong source was identified in our notice. The correct source is Metabiologics, Inc. and the announcement is corrected to read as follows below. There are no other changes to this announcement. The Food and Drug Administration intends to award a Purchase Order on a sole source basis to Metabiologics, Inc. for twenty eight (28) EACH botulin Type A, Type B, and Type E ELISA kits for its FERN program for detection of food-borne contaminants. These are the only ELISA test kits approved by CDC for this purpose and no subsitute methods, equipment, or products are acceptable for the select agent registered program. The estimated value of this purchase order is $30,000. No REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. Notwithstanding, any firm that believes it is capable of providing the required items as stated herein may submit a capability statement to document its capaability, which will be considered if received by the sixth (6th) calendar day following the appearance of this announcement. A determination to compete this procurement based on a response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responses or questions regarding this posting must be in writing and can be sent via email to Robert.Julia@fda.gov. No phone calls will be accepted. An award will be made in fifteen (15) or fewer days from the date of this notice. This sole source procurement will be awarded as a simplified acquisition for commercial items in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.5.
