- The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Policy and International Affairs intends to award a sole source contract to SAS Institute of Cary NC to renew maintenance of SAS Base and Base System 2000 software. This action is a continuation of software maintenance that has been provided for years. This proposed action is for services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This is a notice of intent and not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties who feel they can provide this software maintenance may respond by submitting their capability statements to the email address in the notice, including prices. All submissions must be received within fifteen calendar days of the publication date of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
