- Description
- In support of the Ship Repair Facility (SRF) Yokosuka, Japan, the Fleet Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound is soliciting for an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity, time and materials type contract. Repair services shall include all necessary materials, travel, and technical representative services for the repair/replacement of stern tube and rudder seals. This acquisition is to be negotiated on a sole source basis with Wartsila Lips, Inc of Chesapeake, VA. in accordance with FAR Part 6.302 and FAR Part 15. This is not a commercial (FAR Part 12) acquisition. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals, which will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this action based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Place of performance is the Naval Ship Repair Facility located at Yokosuka, Japan. Additional performance may be required at Naval facilities located at Bremerton, WA and/or San Diego, CA. Period of performance will extend from the date of award to one year thereafter. The government anticipates award of a base year contract with two possible option years.
