Description
POINT OF CONTACT FOR THIS SOLICITATION IS MR. LOUIE BRACKETT, FAX: 251-694-3626. THIS PROJECT IS ADVERTISED ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS PURSUANT TO THE SMALL BUSINESS COMPETITIVENESS DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM (OPEN TO EVERYONE. THIS PROJECT IS A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP), PERFORMANCE PRICE TRADE OFF (PPTO) SOLICITATION. DESCRIPTION OF WORK (Physical Characteristics): The project will construct a new 163 room, 89,000 SF dormitory at Maxwell AFB, Alabama. The building is a 5 story concrete frame structure. The exterior closure includes brick veneer at the first floor with EIFS at the upper floors. The roof is concrete ti le on a plywood deck. The facility includes two passenger elevators, one freight elevator and three stairwells. The project includes extension of existing utilities, paving, and landscaping. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code f or this project is 236220. Estimated cost range of this project is from $10,000,000 to $25,000,000. Solicitation documents should be available on or about 19 September 2005. Mr. Edward M. Slana is the Contracting Officer for this project.
