Description

Contractors may view and/or download this solicitation and all amendments from the Interne t after solicitation issuance. Description of work: This solicitation is for the site preparation and construction of a 5000 s.f. Academic Building and a 3700 s.f. Resistance Training Laboratory. The Academic Training Building is a single story pre-engineered metal building with rigid frame members, concrete foundation, concrete floors and steel stud interior wall system. Generally, the interior finish to be painted, gypsum walls, suspended ceiling, and vinyl tile floors. Facility shall have HVAC, fire protection, and a security syst em. The Resistance Training Laboratory Building is a single story pre-engineered metal building, with rigid frame members, concrete foundation, concrete floors and cmu interior wall system. Supporting facilities shall include utilities, sidewalks, vehicl e parking, access road and landscaping and all required site improvements. Exterior Electrical will be supplied by Sandhills Utility Systems. The project will be solicited and procured using a Performance Price Trade-Off (PPT) Request for Proposals (RFP) in accordance with FAR Part 15.101-1. Offerors are required to submit a price and technical proposal. Each proposal shall contain the offeror' s best technical proposal and best price. Award will be made to an offeror whose technical submittal and price proposal contain the combination of the criteria requested that offer the best value to the Government. The technical proposal will be evaluated utilizing the factors set forth below. Factor 1: Corporate Relevant Specialized Experience; Factor 2: Construction Past Performance. The estimated cost range of project is from $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Network Analysis System will be required. This soli citation will be issued in electronic format only and will be available on or about 22 September 2005 on the Internet at http://ebs.sas.usace.army.mil. Notification of amendments will be through use of the Internet. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy di sks, faxes, etc.) will be provided.
