- The Federal Bureau of Investigation is issuing a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; data is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC)2005-05. This solicitation is being issued under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 443120 and the Business Size Standard is $7,500,000.00 dollar threshold. This will be a firm-fixed price contract for a one (1) year software maintenance renewal of the Treehouse tRelational/DPS software (two [2] licenses for IBM z990 machines). The Federal Bureau of Investigation intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Treehouse Software, 409 Broad Street, Suite 140, Sewickley, PA 15143-1511. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement by submitting a quotation to include product/functional specifications/descriptions. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all data received within ten days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Destination-FOB.
