Description

The Food and Drug Administration intends to award a Purchase Order on a sole source basis to X-RITE INCORPORATED, 3100 44TH ST SW, GRANDVILLE, MI 49418-2567, for the purchase of a 331 Black and white transmission Densitometer and a 396 Sensitometer. These units are to replace existing units that have outlived their useful life. These X-Rite models have been established as meeting the stringent technical specifications necessary for testing film processing during MQSA inspections. Because of the technical specification required, these units must be stable and consistent in performance. These units are used in the MQSA inspection program which is mandated by law. An award will be made in seven (7) days from the date of this notice. This is not a request for quotes; however, sources may submit descriptive literature, which fully demonstrate their capabilities, which will be considered by the agency. A determination to compete this procurement based on a response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responses or questions regarding this posting must be in writing and can be sent via email to Apagan@oc.fda.gov. No phone calls will be accepted. This sole source procurement will be awarded as a simplified acquisition for commercial items in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.5.
