Description
The Department of Energy, Idaho Operations Office, is soliciting a request for quote (RFQ), DE?RQ07-05ID01009, for an alpha/beta gas flow proportional counter system for use at the Radiological and Environmental Sciences Laboratory (RESL). Along with the system requirements, the quote must inclusive of a schedule and pricing for delivery and set-up, as well as a separate 1?day instructional training. Delivery, set-up, and training shall be at the U.S. Department of Energy, RESL-CFA 690, MS 4149, Albany Avenue & Lincoln Road, Scoville, ID, located approximately 40 miles from Idaho Falls, ID. Once set-up has been completed and prior to acceptance, the Government will conduct a system test as described in the additional information provided as an attachment to this RFQ at http://e-center.gov. The system requirements are also provided at this location. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items, will apply to this acquisition. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The quote must include a breakout of the price for the elements required (system, delivery, set-up, and training) and demonstrate how their proposed system meets each of the system requirements of this RFQ. Quotes shall be submitted via email and shall reference "RFQ No. DE-RQ07-05ID01009" in the subject line of the email transmittal. Offerors are asked to provide its tax identification number (TINS) and Dunn & Bradstreet number (DUNS) along with their submittal. Quotes will be submitted no later than 3:00 p.m. mountain time on September 15, 2005, via email to Janet Surrusco at Janet.Surrusco@nuclear.energy.gov. All responsible sources submitting a quotation shall be considered by the agency. Award will be made to the quote that is technically acceptable and offers the lowest price. The NAICS code for this RFQ is 334516.
