- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) is issuing a solicitation for : Intruder Alert (ITA) software, Internet ScannerTravel Licenses, Real Secure Server and Network, Veritas Backup Exec Server and Agents, Microsoft, Integrated Computer Systems, F-Secure for Workstations, Unix, Windows, Double Take, and Windows Advanced Server subscription. This is a continuation of software maintenance for IA tools that were deployed by FSO in previous years to DISA and Combatant Command sites. The security software products are required because no other products can reliably interoperate with the current network without significantly increasing operating costs. The product list is attached. Solicitation HC1047-05-T-4035 is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ), which incorporates provisions and clauses for commercial items in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-14. This acquisition is reserved for small businesses. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 541519. The small business size standard is $21 million. The following provisions in their latest editions apply to the solicitation: FAR 52.211-6, Brand Name or Equal; FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors ? Commercial Items; 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications ? Commercial Items; 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items. All quotes will be evaluated on price only. Please submit with your quote a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items. The Government will award a single purchase order to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the requirements as stated in this synopsis and is most advantageous to the Government based on the lowest price. The FAR clauses referenced above may be viewed at http://farsite.hill.af.mil. Contractors submitting quotes must be enrolled in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) program (http://www.ccr.gov/). Quotes must be submitted by fax or email no later than 2PM EDT, 12 September 2005. Email submission is preferred. Late quotes will not be accepted.
