- The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Greer Communications, Clarksville, TN 37043. The procurement will be conducted on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) as implem ented by FAR 6.302-1.under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), for Zetron paging equipment support for existing Zetron Paging Equipment previously installed by Greer Communications and currently located at Fort Campbell, KY. Restricting competition is based on this company's design and installation of the original systems and the duplicative cost to the Government to utilize another source to satisfy the Government's requirement. The NAICS code for this is 811213 and the small business size standard is $6,00 0,000.00. This sole source requirement will be procured under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition and awarded on an unrestricted basis. This is not a request for competitive offers and solicitation will not be issued ; however any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 14 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstra te the ability to comply with the requirements listed. Responses received will be evaluated; however a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion for the Gover nment. See numbered note 22. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Greer Communication. Requirement consists of support for the base period of 01 October 2005 through 30 September 2006; and 4 opti on year periods (effective 01 Oct 06-30 Sep 07, 01 Oct 07-30 Sep 08, 01 Oct 08-30 Sep 09, 01 Oct 09-30 Sep 2010 per FAR 52.217-9 OPTION TO EXTEND THE TERM OF THE CONTRACT) of Zetron paging terminal, model 2100 located at Blanchfield Army Community Hospita l (BACH), Zetron paging terminal model 640 DAPT XTRA located at BACH, Kenwood Paging Transmitter Model TK-740KGPP-250 which includes TKR-750 Link Transmitter, TKR-40K paging transceiver, power supply, equipment rack, surge protector, Model 66-SDM Controlle r, model 8195A Ageless GPS Oscillator and 250 watt paging amplifier located at BACH, Kenwood Paging Transmitter model TK-740KGPP-100 which includes TKR-740K paging transceiver, power supply equipment rack, surge protector model 66-SDM controller model 8195 A Ageless GPS oscillator and 100 watt amplifier located in Hopkinsville, KY, Kenwood Paging Transmitter model TK-704K-GPP-100 which includes TKR-740 paging transceiver, power supply equipment rack, surge protector model 66-SDM controller model 8195A Ageles s GPS Oscillator and 100 Watt Paging amplifier located at Blueberry Hill, Nashville, TN,Kenwood Paging Transmitter model TK-740KGPP-100 which includes TKR-740K paging transceiver power supply, equipment rack, surge protector model 66-SDM controller model 8 195A Ageless GPS oscillator and 100 Watt paging amplifier located at Pleasant View, TN; Kenwood Paging Transmitter model TK-740KGPP-100 which includes power supply, equipment rack, surge protector model 66-SDM controller model 8195A Ageless GPS oscillator and 100 Watt paging amplifier located at Clarksville, TN; Glenyre Paging Transmitter model QT-100; Zetron Radio Dispatch console model 4010; GE Base Station model Master ii; GE Base station Model Master ii; GE Base Station model Master ii; Kenwood Mobile R adio Model TK-730; Kenwood Mobile Radio model TK-730; Kenwood Mobile Radio model TK-730; Kenwood mobile radio model 730; Zetron Service Assistance Program; and quarterly service Interested companies may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement not later than 15 September 2005.
