Description
STATEMENT OF WORK EXECTIVE TRANSTION ASSITANCE FACILITATOR Background: The 4 ? Day Executive Transition Assistance Program (E-TAP) is the only one held in USAFE and only the second one in the Air Force that is specifically designed for meeting the needs of officers in the grade of O-6 and above. Our program is modeled after the world-renown ETAP hosted at Bolling AFB. Their program is considered a benchmark for the transition assistance services. One of t the greatest benefits of this program are that is not Air Force specific. It is specifically designed to meet the needs of those from any branch of the military, thus supporting all of Europe. Work Setting: The services will be provided in a classroom type setting and set-up according to the wishes of the facilitator. Audience: The target audience for this class is O-6 and above to include spouses who are retiring from the military and transitioning to civilian life. The maximum number of participations will be 50. Those in the rank of O-5 will be accepted on a space available basis. Requirements: The facilitator must be a subject matter expert and have more than 10 years of experience in assisting those seeking jobs in the $100, 000 to $200,000 (Executive activities) income range in the government, public and private sector. Facilitator must be certified in the Myer-Briggs Temperament Sorter (MBTI) or competent in the use of Please Understand Me and use these concepts to assist participants in career choices. Facilitator is responsible for providing a variety of handouts that will assist participants in the job search Must be familiar with salary and benefits negotiation and present training in this area. Provide in-depth information and facilitate discussion on the job and career search process. Instruction on the development of a ?self? marketing plan. Facilitator should assist participants in conducting a skills assessment. Instruction on resumes and cover letters is required Instruction on job networking is required Participants must be instructed on correct interviewing techniques to include dress, etiquette, image, body language, tone and place. Information must be presented to participants on how they evaluate a job offer. Participants must receive a list of websites and professional resources to aid in their job search. Facilitator must be willing to review already prepared resume as time allows during the class and following the class Deliverables: Facilitator will use a wide variety of learning techniques to include lecture, discussion , individual as well as group exercise during the program Participants are provided with enough information to assist their reentry into the civilian world. This is an ongoing program and following each seminar presented the facilitator will make contact with the participants by e-mail and provide information requested at the workshops as well as data that will assist them with job searches, writing source documents and expanded information on ?information interviewing.?. Facilitator will review resumes following the seminars Time Frames: By 27 September 05 the facilitator will forward job announcements; set-up information interviews and forward resource information that she receives from individuals and from associations that she works with prior to the Sep 05 Seminar. By 16 Sep 05 the facilitator will forward all materials for (2) FY06 Executive TAP Seminars to the FSC for a total of 100 participants Follow-up with the participants 13-15 Sept 05 Seminar will be conducted one week following and again at 90 days to participants have everything that is needed for their job search. The seminar in FY 06 will be 3 days in length with no less than 24 hours of instruction. Two Executive Transition Assistance Program classes will be held in FY 06 Administration: The Ramstein Family Support Center Transition Assistance Program will make all arrangements for the facility and support equipment along with the advertising and promotion of the program. Payment/Fees: The facilitator will be paid the agreed up amount for the instruction and reimbursed for their plane travel (first class and business class may not be used) along with travel to and from the airport upon arrival at the Frankfurt International Airport Germany. They will be reimbursed at the government Per Diem rates for Ramstein AB, Germany. A rental car is not authorized.
