- This is a notice of intent of the Cleveland VAMC Acquisition Group, Brecksville, Ohio to negotiate a sole source contract with the Dept. of Biomedical Engineering, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, an affiliate of the Cleveland VAMC. Affiliate will provide research support for the collection and documentation of research data for peer-reviewed publication. Tasks will include performing literature reviews, designing instrumentation for acquiring and processing kinematic and kinetic data, developing and bench testing instrumentation prototype, constructing instrumentation and hardware, programming and documenting hardware and software to process sensor signals, performing and analyzing biomechanical simulation, performing mechanical and statistical analysis of experimental data, and implementing experimental systems and FES controllers. The Government believes that only one responsible source can provide the services that will satisfy the agency requirements. Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by September 7, 2005. A determination by the Contracting Officer not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notices is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. All inquiries must be submitted in writing; telephone inquiries will not be accepted, nor responses received after September 7, 2005.
