***UPDATE*** IFB HAS BEEN POSTED The government intends to lease 30 trailers to be located at NETWARCOM?s facility at the Little Creek Naval Base, Norfolk Virginia. The trailers will be configured as three eight-wide trailers and one six-wide trailer. The government anticipates the award of a contract for one base year with provisions to extend the period of performance with up to 4 additional one-year options. Trailers to be furnished under this contract shall match existing trailers already located on-site at NETWARCOM. A site visit will be held on Monday, August 22, 2005 from 1000 to 1130at NETWARCOM?s facility, 2465 Guadalcanal Road, Norfolk Virginia. Potential quoters interested in attending this site visit shall contact the Contracting Officer, Nicole Carnicky at 757-443-1454 or Nicole.carnicky@navy.mil. The names corporate affiliation of those interested in attending the site visit must be provided to the Contracting Officer no later than close of business Friday, August 19, 2005. Quoters are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. Trailers will need to be delivered no later than 30 September 2005. Notification is hereby given that the government intends to make this award pursuant to the streamlined acquisition procedures afforded by the FAR under the conditions of unusual and compelling urgency. Further, the solicitation and eventual award will be made pursuant to under FAR 13.5, Clinger-Cohen Test Program for Certain Commercial Items.
