Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) The purchase request number is F3M3AP5220A1 and the solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) (iii) This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-05. (iv) This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The associated NAICS code is 337215 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. (v) This requirement consists of one Line Item: Design, Purchase and Install High-Density Mobile Storage/Mechanical Assist System. Quantity: 1. (vi) Description: The contractor shall supply all materials, tools, equipment, personnel and supervision to provide a proper design, function, utility, egress and safety for user personnel. System to include: structural rail, elevated FR floor, ramp, 4 mechanical assist carriages, 30 faces heavy-duty shelving with back panels, 2 pair hinged doors, 1 section wide-span storage, 1 waist high security lock, face panels, rubber mat floor covering with edging for ramp, 2 wide span units with metal decking. Also included: design, engineering, offloading, portage to site, installation and clean up. A commercial warranty is required. A site visit is scheduled for 1 Sept 05 at 1:00 p.m., Bldg. 560, 1443 Reilly St. Pope AFB, NC. (vii) Delivery is requested no later than 45 days from date of contract award. FOB shall be destination, and shipping should be included in the unit price. (viii) The provision at 52.203-3, Gratuities, applies to this solicitation. (ix) The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors ? Commercial, applies to this solicitation. (x) The provision at 52.212-2, Evaluation ? Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation. Paragraph (a) of FAR 52.212-2 is added to read: Lowest price technically acceptable. The contractor certifies that it can meet the delivery date by submitting a quotation.
