Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) number AG-8E49-Q-05-9003. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-05 NAICS: 333120 Land Preparation Machinery, Construction, Manufacturing CLIN 0001 1 ea, Truck Mounted Backhoe, with 9 foot long by 96 inch wide steel flatbed with bulkhead, full-width screened window, rot-resistant wood floor, lighting kit and painted black. Backhoe must be designed so as to be mounted on flatbed truck (with a 35 inch chassis frame height at rear of frame) without modification of any operating parts and is designed to dig to a minimum depth of 8 Ft (2 ft Flat bottom) bucket rotation 180 degrees, swing arc 180 degrees, 2 Fold Down or Vertical Stabilizers with large dirt pads, minimum 5000 pounds bucket cylinder digging force, minimum 3000 pounds dipper cylinder digging force. One 18 inch bucket with 4 teeth. Air-cooled 4-stroke auxiliary gasoline engine with engine mounted throttle and starting controls and gasoline tank appropriately sized for the required minimum digging force specifications of the backhoe (operational speed not to exceed 2400 rpm). Appropriately sized hydraulic gear pump with necessary parts for direct drive by gasoline engine. Hydraulic oil reservoir appropriately sized for hydraulic oil needs of backhoe and sufficient oil cooling without installation of other oil cooling methods. All necessary parts and labor to install flatbed, backhoe, auxiliary engine, and pump on a 2005 Ford F-350 truck (GFE) with dual rear wheels and rear-mounted gasoline tank Bid must include technical solution with specifications on proposed equipment.
