- Provide janitorial services at the Lewiston Veterans Center, 7 Westminister Street, Lewiston, Maine for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Medical Center, Togus, Maine. General cleaning services is for a single-story building the areas of responsibility encompass approximately 2600 square feet. The rooms include a waiting room, 4 offices, 1 bathroom, a dining area and a kitchenette. A site visit can be arranged by contacting Roy Driver at (207) 783-0068. Services are to include the following: Twice Per Week: Completely vacuum all carpeting and sweep tile floors. Clean all filing cabinets, tables, window sills. Remove handprints from walls and doors. Clean glass doors inside and out Clean window sills. Empty all waste cans and remove trash from building. Completely clean and sanitize bathrooms. Refill paper products in bathroom and kitchen Straighten magazines in reception area Clean kitchen sink, countertops and table Once per Week: Dust desks, bookcases, tables, lamps, door casings, top of refrigerator and microwave, windowsills, picture frames and other flat surfaces as needed Clean large front windows Clean inside of microwave Wash tile floors Physical inspection of work done, for quality control. Monthly Vacuum furniture Wax bathroom and kitchen floors (strip when necessary) Dust/clean all ceiling vents Dust bases of all office chairs Quarterly (October, January, April, July): Shampoo all carpeting Clean glass on pictures Bi-Annual (Spring and Fall) Clean all inside windows throughout the center All paper towels, toilet tissue, large and small plastic bags will be supplied by the Vet Center. All cleaning agents and materials are the responsibility of the cleaning service. VA will be notified of all chemicals in use and stored on site by the cleaning service. Material Safety Data Sheets pertinent to these chemicals will be available at the clinic at all times. HOURS OF COVERAGE Services shall be performed after work hours Wednesday and Friday. Vet Center hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Evening hours are subject to change as group counseling sessions times changes.
