- NASA/MSFC is hereby soliciting information about potential sources for Technical and Analytical Support Services for Marshall Space Flight Center. The selected contractor for the Technical and Analytical Support Contract will, among other tasks, perform a wide variety of tests in various environments on many different types of materials, mechanical and electrical components, and mechanical and electrical systems that are currently being used or have the potential to be used on NASA missions. These tests will serve as the first line of safety for determining which materials, components or systems are acceptable and which are unacceptable for use on space vehicles and ground support equipment. Most all work under the proposed contract will be performed onsite at Marshall Space Flight Center near Huntsville, Alabama. MSFC will furnish installation-provided government property, including test equipment and test facilities, for this effort. This is a follow-on procurement to that currently being performed by Integrated Concepts and Research Corporation of Alexandria, Virginia under NASA MSFC Contract NAS8-01050. This procurement is planned as a total 100% set aside for small 8(a) firms with a size standard of no more than 500 employees. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released it will be synopsized in FedBizOpps and on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service. It is the potential offeror?s responsibility to monitor these sites for the release of any solicitation or synopsis. No oral questions or responses will be accepted. This procurement is for non-commercial support services. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited.
