- This is published as a Sole Source announcement. The statutory authority that permits other than full and open competition for this requirement is in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) San Diego, CA intends to award a sole source modification to extend the maintenance and repair services contract N00244-03-P-3356, for an additional 1 year period of performance and to add another option period, to AGFA Corporation. The purpose of this contract extension is to continue maintenance and repair services for X-ray equipment located at Naval Hospital, Lemoore, California. The x-ray equipment consists of:ADC Solo, Compact, PRID 1, PRID 2, ADC C processing server (2 each), Monitor (2 each), 4mm Tape (2 each), Drystar 3000 (2 each), and Paxport. This contract extension modification is for the ! period 01 October 2005 through 30 September, 2006, and adds an option for an additional year, from 01 October 2006 through 30 September 2007. AGFA Corporation is currently the only provider capable of providing the maintenance and repair service because of the proprietary nature of the equipment and software. Therefore, because of the aforementioned factors, AGFA Corporation is the only contractor capable of providing the required services. The NAICS code for this action is 811219.
