Description
The Philadelphia District is issuing a Request for Quotation for the repairs and ABS re-certification of the M/V DONLAN. The vessel is located at the Ft. Mifflin Project Office, Island Road, Philadelphia, PA. The work includes drydocking, tank inspe ctions, tank cleanings, the provision of utilities and services, door replacement, zinc replacements, cooling grid cleaning and cover fabrication, hull painting, propeller shaft and bearing inspections, and the cleaning of manhole covers and sea chests. A ll work is to be accomplished within the contractors shipyard and the period of performance is 15 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. The vessel will be delivered to a contractors yard anywhere between Philadelphia, PA and Norfolk, VA via t he Intercoastal Waterway. No open ocean travel is permitted as the vessel is not classed for such travel. The vessel may be inspected by arranging for a site visit by calling Mr. Mark Loftus at (215) 656-6745. The RFQ with a complete Scope of Work will be available on the Districts Web pages on (or about) Aug. 30, 2005 as a commercial item action under FAR parts 12 and 13. No written or fax requests will be accepted. Offerors may download the RFQ and any amendments from the web page at the following address https://ebs.nap.usace.army.mil on, or after, the issue date. It is the offerors responsibility to monitor the web page for any amendments. Offerors are responsible to make changes to their user profile if any of their information changes during the advertisement period. Failure to make changes in thei r user profile may cause for delay in receiving notification of the RFQ and amendments. Offerors are responsible for printing copies of the RFQ and any amendments. Hard copies will not be furnished. Interested firms must register on the Internet Web pag e. Quotes will be due on/about Sep. 9, 2005. The NAICS code is 3366111 and the small business size standard is 1000 employees. Bonding is not required. All contractors are required to be registered in the DODs Central Contract Registery before award a s required by DFARS 204.7300. Also, firms who receive a federal contract in excess of $25,000.00 are required by legislation to submit an annual VETS-100 Report on your employment of targeted veterans. This procurement is 100 percent set aside for small business. Bonding is not required; however liquidated damages will apply.
