Description

This synopsis is for the sole source repair and major rebuild of Klystron Varian Tubes applicable to the AN/TRC-170 System. Item 0001: NSN: 5960-01-303-9395RY, P/N: G107180-1 and 0002: NSN: 5960-01-326-8986RY, P/N: L-4840. Best estimated quantity: 140 EACH for the basic year period and 150 each for each three year option periods. DELIVERY: evaluation within 30 days of receipt of reparable; repair within 12 months of receipt of order. Best obtainable warranty period will apply. The approximate RFP issue date will be 19 September 2005 with the approximate response date of 19 October 2005. Written procedures will be used for this solicitation TO: L-3 Communications Electron Tube Division, Williamsport, PA (Cage: 89146). Authority: 10USC 2304(c)(1), Justification: Supplies (or services) required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible sources and no other type of supplies (or services) will satisfy agency requirements. Specifications, plans, or drawings related to this procurement are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. See Notes 22 and 26.
