Description

The Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Medtronic of Shoreview MN to furnish an Eight Channel Polygraf ID Esophageal Manometry System for the Jesse Brown VAMC, Chicago IL. To the best of our knowledge this Manometry system is the only system which has the ability to place a capsule via non-catheters insertion into the esophagus and will integrate with the existing Medtronic PH monitors currently used in our Endoscopy unit. Vendor must also be able to provide the PH capsules which are unique to this system. This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 6.302 - only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. NAICS 339110. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Office within (ten) 10 calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer, VAMC-GLAC, Building 5, 5000 W. National Ave. Bldg. 5, Milwaukee WI 53295, via e-mail to diane.brazale@med.va.gov or via fax to (414) 902-5440. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Medtronics.
