- The Bureau of Labor Statistics intends to enter into a sole source contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures with Logos, Inc., 3101 New Mexico Ave NW #253, Washington, DC. 20016-5912 to support a technical review and analysis of the BLS entry level economist assessment tool. This job-related cognitive test was developed by Logos, Inc. The tool was developed in 2000-2001 and implemented in early 2002 for selection of entry-level economists. The tool was developed using the Logic-Based Measurement (LBM) model of cognitive test construction. Logic-based measurement is a highly specialized model of test development requiring a rare combination of competencies, skills, and experience in psychometrics, test construction and formal logic not found elsewhere in the test construction professional community. The period of performance for this action is five months. This notice of intent is not a request for offers. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement is solely within the discretion of the Government. There is no RFP notice. For information purposes only.
