- National Science Foundation (NSF) intends to solicit and award a sole source purchase order under the authority of FAR6.302-1, with Thomson Scientific Inc. Philadelphia, PA for the purchase of database subscription renewals. Thomson Scientific is the producer and does not license any other service to provide a site license to this database. The Government intends to acquire commercial items using FAR Part 12. The procurement is being conducted under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitive quotes. No formal solicitation will be issued as a result of this announcement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
