- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for One(1) each MotionPro HS-3 Monochrome 1280 X 1024 @1000 fps, 4GB Memory P/N 0005505-001-04, Includes power supply, 5m camera cable, C-mount and control software; One(1) each MotionPro HS USB repeater, P/N 10005512-001. NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from DEL Imaging Systems, LLC only. The core requirements for this particular detector are: a high frame rate (>3500FPS), large detector format (>19mm diagonal) and USB-compatibility. The Redlake CMOS camera meets these requirements and is the only commercially available high-speed imager that can satisfy our end-use requirement. DEL Imaging System is the only distributor authorized to sell the Redlake camera in this part of the country. Authority is 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1) Only one responsible source. The procurement will be processed using FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. DO Rating is DO-C9 The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. This synopsis shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information solicited. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on September 6, 2005. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
