- Sources Sought Notice: The 412th Test Wing/Instrumentation Division at the Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Edwards AFB, CA is seeking potential sources capable of providing Pressure Transmitters to support the F 16 program. The following is a description of the Pressure Transmitters: Intelligent Pressure Transmitter (6 ea) Pressure range: 0-15 PSIA Performance: 0.01% Full Scale over full temp range Operating Temperature Range: Other Rangers: -54 C to +70 C Typical Current Consumption (Max) 38 mA Operating Voltage: 6-16 VDC Typical Resolution at 1 sample/sec: 1 ppm Engineering Units: 8 Standard or User-defined Baud Rate Selection: 300 to 115200 Overpressure: 1.2 x Full Scale Weight: 15.9 oz (450 g) Max RS-232 & RS-485 Communication: Compatible with EIA/TIA RS-232 Compatible with EIA/TIA RS-485 Buffer Tube: Stainless Steel Dimensions ? Envelope Maximum: 2.62? x 2.82? x 2.25 Adequate testing and/or inspections will be performed by the supplier to meet the specified requirements. Provide a statement of supplier qualifications and evidence of previous contract success in meeting identical or similar requirements. Please note that this synopsis is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for competitive bids/proposals and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide (10) Pressure Transmitters with the requirements requested. Firms responding to this synopsis must identify their company?s capabilities to perform the requirements described herein, reference the synopsis number and indicate whether or not that they are a small or small disadvantaged business concern as defined in FAR 52.219-1. The NAICS code is 334519. The Small Business size standard is 500 employees. The information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Air Force not to open the requirement to open competition, based on response to this sources sought synopsis, is solely within the discretion of the Air Force. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this sources sought synopsis. It is anticipated that a Firm Fixed Price contract will be awarded in August 2005.
