Description

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) plans to procure for the brand name or equal Becton Dickinson 4 color Refurbished Facscan Flow Cytometer with: a) Four (4) color, 7 parameters, capablities, b) Macintosh G4, with Cellquest software, c) 17? flat panel monitor, d) Black & White printer, e) First year on-site service including all parts, travel and labor, and a preventative maintenance inspection, and f) shipping and delivery, as authorized in FAR Part 13.1. This acquisition will be conducted in accordance with the simplified procedures provided in FAR 13.5. The North American Industry Classification System code is 334516 and the business size standard is 500 employees. The following salient characteristics apply to the Becton Dickinson 4 color Refurbished Facscan: the use of 4-colors (2 lasers), with changeable optics in the FL-4 channel, the time window signal processing for spatially separated laser excitation, the ability for future expansion to five colors and the use of CellQuest v. 3.3 software. Justification: The Becton Dickinson or equal 4 color refurbished Facscan is a four color, expandable to 5 colors, flow cytometer that is similar to the model currently in operation, using similar software to minimize the difference in training and practice and that will be easily used and maintained by multiple users.
