- Description
- The work includes all material, labor, tools, plant, supplies, equipment, transportation, superintendence, and all other services and facilities necessary to complete the construction of a 5,000 s.f. single-story, brick-faced postal facility, in accordance with USPS approved plans and specifications. The USPS-owned site is located on WV State Route 62. The site is 2.8 acres and will require approximately one acre of engineered fill and approximately 1.8 acres of 2.5:1 site slope to property lines. The site will require approximately 47,000 s.f. of flexible paving, approximately 17,500 s.f. of rigid paving, relocated/modified site utilities, site lighting and curb cuts. The estimated cost of the project is between $1,300,000 and $1,600,000 with construction completion within 270 calendar days from receipt of notice to proceed. The Postal Service encourages the participation of small, minority, and women-owned business subcontractors for this project. THIS REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL IS BEING ISSUED TO PREVIOUSLY PRE-QUALIFIED CONTRACTORS ONLY. THE PRE-QUALIFIED FIRMS ARE THE ONLY FIRMS INVITED TO SUBMIT PROPOSALS FOR THIS SOLICITATION. PRE-QUALIFIED FIRMS MUST SUBMIT QUESTIONS TO THE POSTAL SERVICE BY SEPTEMBER 7, 2005. There will be no public opening of offers. All proposal information received is CONFIDENTIAL until award of a contract. Upon award, the name of the successful offeror and the amount of the contract will be released as public information. AWARD OF CONTRACT IS SUBJECT TO FINAL FUNDING APPROVAL.
