- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office, intends to modify existing contract N00140-01-D-G604, with San Diego City College (SDCC), to extend the period of performance for six months, 1 October 2005 through 31 March 2006, for instructor services, at the Naval Technical Training Center (NTTC), Meridian, Mississippi, pending a competitive award of a follow-on contract, anticipated to commence 1 April 2006. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. As the incumbent contractor for instructor services at NTTC Meridian, SDCC is the only known source that has the necessary infrastructure, including experience, expertise, facilities and trained personnel in place to perform all required services, without interruption, commencing 1 October 2005. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or to submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within forty-five days after the date of publication of this synopsis. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for information received. The applicable North American Industry Classification System code and size standard are 611513 and $6,000,000.00, respectively. Numbered Note 22 applies.
