- Description
- The Womack Army Medical Center intends to enter into a sole-source procurement with BAXA Corporation; Englewood, CO 80112 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requireme nts. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price lease contract for a base and four (4) one year option periods (1 Oct 05 - 30 Sep 2010. This procurement is to supply 1 ea. BAXA MicroMacro 12 Compounder TPN Compounder (plus one backup); 2 each Compu ters w/color monitor and keyboards; 2 each Dot-Matrix printers; 1 each Electronic balance w/weight pan; 1 each bar code reader; 1 each operating software; and 1 TPN-PC PLUS calculating software for multi-source fluid mixing of both micro and macro ingredie nts down to 0.2ml. The lease agreement includes software upgrades as released; service and repair of hardware; replacement with new or refurbished equipment for equipment that fails. Refurbished equipment shall carry same warranty as new. Lease to include initial on-site, in-Service Training visit including appropriate literature and training materials. This lease service requires compliance with HIPAA under such lease agreement. The hardware and software is located in the Womack Amry Medical Center Depa rtment of Pharmacy. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 7 business days after the publication date of this announcement. A determination by the Government no t to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procureme nt. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 532490 and the business size standard is $6.0M. This acquisition will be processed under FAR Part 12 - Acquisition for Commercial Items and will be made pursuant to the authority in FAR 13 to us e simplified procedures for commercial acquisitions.
