- Description
- The Rock Island Arsenal Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center (RIA JMTC) has a requirement for a Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) system to organize, set-up and stock a crib for all 134 parts needed in the manufacture of the electrical system for t he Forward Repair System (FRS) vehicle. The vendor will: 1. Stock the bins to agreed upon levels. 2. Re-stock to agreed upon minimum levels no less than every two weeks. 3. Provide itemized inventory reports as requested, but no less than once a month. 4. Provide a monthly itemized invoice based on the unit cost of each item. 5. Barcode parts and provide signs to identify each item. 6. Provide technical support. 7. Provide emergency re-stocking within 24 hours. The Government will provide the s pace. The base quantity will support enough parts to manufacture 350 each FRS units, with two additional option periods at 100% each option. Award will be made to the low responsive, responsible offeror. Approximate solicitation issue date is 24 August 2005 with closing date 30 days from issue date. Once issued, copies of the solicitation will be available for download from the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) website at https://acquisition.army.mil It will be the responsibility of the vendors to ch eck the website for the issuing and any changes to the solicitation. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be distributed. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small businesses. The North American Industry Classication Codes are 335311, 335313 , 335314, and 335122, 500 employees. See notes 1 and 12.
