- US ARMY TACOM-Picatinny is conducting Market Research for contractors whom can meet the requirements of manufacturing, inspecting and delivering 3,543 M769 60mm mortar projectile bodies within a 6 month time period. The M769 is a forged 60mm mortar projectile body used for training. It has four vent holes in the rear taper to allow for smoke signatures upon fuse function. The body is made out of 1340 steel. These bodies need to be delivered no later than February 2006. Interested parties who have the necessary capabilities to meet this time sensitive requirement should respond by providing the following information; a summary of your company's capabilities to include a detailed plan on how description of facilities, tooling and personnel, along with related manufacturing capabilities of similar or identical items. Responses to this survey shall be submitted within 15 calendar days from the date of this publication, no later than September 6, 2005 to: mjones@pica.army.mil.
