Description

This project involves a design/build effort by the contractor to upgrade approximately 25 restrooms in the medical center to meet current standards, including but not limited to handicapped accessability. Several lockerrooms adjacent to restrooms shall also be renovated. The contractor shall apply the requirements of the DVA Barrier Free Design Guide, along with all other applicable DVA Design Guides, codes and standards to layout plumbing fixtures, entrances and means of egress in each restroom to meet the intent of the above standards. The contractor shall survey the conditions of each restroom and prepare a working drawing showing the new functional layout of each restroom. Construction work to renovate each room shall be done in several phases to accommodate the operational needs of the facility. Estimated Cost Range $250,000-500,000 NAICS for this procurement is 236220, size standard 28.5 million.
