- The Department of Veterans Affairs Facilities within the Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 7), which includes VA Medical Centers in Atlanta, Augusta, and Dublin, GA; VA Medical Centers in Birmingham, Montgomery, and Tuscaloosa, AL; and VA Medical Centers in Charleston, and Columbia, SC; as well as the Olin E. Teague Veterans? Center, Waco VA Medical Center, Thomas T. Connally VA Medical Center , and four outpatient clinics in the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System, is issuing a solicitation to furnish validation of the compliance, appropriateness and accuracy and claims sent from VISN 7 facilities to commercial insurance carriers. The purpose is to evaluate the accuracy and consistency of claims prepared for inpatient, outpatient and pharmacy services at a facility and network level. VISN 7 will award a single contract for all medical centers. The solicitation will be issued with a base year and four (4) one-year VA discretionary options for renewal. The NAICS code for this procurement is 524291, with a small business size standard of $6.0 million. This procurement is set aside for small businesses. The solicitation will be issued o/a August 22, 2005. Evaluation factors will be quality of service, past performance, staffing and equipment, and pricing.
