- The US Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service in Fairbanks, AK has a requirement for a wetblade mower which applies herbicide to the cut portion at a rate of 2.5 gallons per acre while cutting brush up to 4 inches in diameter. The Diamond Boom Mower WB15 Flexwing has a 15ft cut width, driven by an 80 hp PTO, all wetblade accessories, computer radar control, quantity 8 five gallon chemical containers & three peristalitic pumps. The USDA intends on negotiating with the only known source Diamond Mower Inc. Sioux Falls, SD. A solicitation is not available for this requirement and interested firms are encouraged to submit proposals to the attention of Fred Gifford by fax or mail as listed in this notice on products which can meet or exceed the capabilities of the Diamond Mower.WB15.
