- Description
- The purpose of this amendment is to change the Classification Code. Change from A--Research and Development with NAICS Code 611310; and change to Classification Code J--Maintenance and Repair with NAICS Code 811310. Therefore, the following contemplated contract action will be moved to synopsize under Classification Code Section J. Notice of Intent. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) located on IIT’s Moffett Campus in Summit-Argo, IL for equipment maintenance, reconfiguration, upkeep, recordkeeping, bookkeeping, waste disposal, and any other costs associated with the use of FDA’s pilot plant equipment. This award will be completed under noncompetitive fixed price procedures and other than full and open competition as authorized under FAR 6.301-1. The FDA is a participant in the National Center for Food Safety and Technology (NCFST) established by the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) with a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) from the FDA. The NCFST is a cooperative government, industry, and academia research consortium focused on food safety. This is not a request for offers.
