- Description
- The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) is soliciting proposals from prime contractors for the construction of a new commissary facility at Ft Detrick, MD. The contractor will be responsible for all construction activities, equipment (both building and operational), all structures, utilities, roads, walks, and associated site improvements including landscaping. Offerors are responsible for Periodic Preventative Maintenance (PPM) as specified in the solicitation documents and will continue for 90 calendar days after final acceptance of the project. The total square footage of the new facility is approximately 34,300 square feet. The estimated cost of facility is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Performance period is 16 months. This procurement is unrestricted. Bid guarantee is required. The acquisition method to be used for this procurement will be Performance Price Trade-off with past performance being significantly more important than price. Past performance criteria for award include, but may not be limited to, experience in building commissaries and/or grocery stores from the ground up within the last three years. The proposed closing date for proposals is on or about 21 Jan 05. All responsible sources meeting the criteria set forth in the RFP may submit an offer which will be considered by the Government.
