- Description
- The Pentagon Police Department ( PPD) canine handlers require complete commercial veterinarian services, boarding , kenneling, grooming and other related canine care services for the police canines located at the Pentagon Building and within the National Capitol Region. Performance of the services will be at the contractor 's facility. The contractor shall provide all of the necessary labor, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, transportation, and other items and services necessary to perform the highest quality canine care and service as requested for the police canines of the Pentagon Force Protection Agency. The contractor facility must be located within a 50 mile radius of the Pentagon. The following canine services are required: a. Kennel, Boarding, Exercising and Grooming Services b. Food and food supplies c. Preventive Medication d. Routine Medical Examinations and Services e. Emergency Medical and Surgical Services The PPD anticipates that the vendor shall provide the following services: routine veterinary medical examinations to include regular vaccinations; routine preventive medications; routine dental care; routine food supplies; grooming services; intermittent kennel and boarding services; and emergency veterinary medical and surgical services as needed for 18 to 20 PPD canines.
