- Description
- The U. S. Postal Service is soliciting proposals from prequalified firms for the construction of a Postal Service-owned facility of approximately 39,895 square feet in Kahului, Hawaii to be known as Kahului Main Post Office. The facility will be located on a postal-owned site next to the Kahului Airport air cargo transport area. The work must be phased, and the existing air cargo tent must remain operational throughout the duration of the project. The contractor will provide a parking area. The tent and security fencing will be relocated to the parking area, after which the balance of the construction can proceed. Estimated construction cost range is $8,000,000-$8,700,000. The work is to be completed in 300 days after notice to proceed. The proposal must contain the offeror's overhead, profit, bonds, insurance, and all other contingencies. No allowance for such items will be made after contract award. The minority subcontracting goal is 15%. Offers will not be publicly opened. All proposal information will remain confidential until award. A bid bond is not required. A pre-proposal conference will not be conducted.
