- Fort Leavenworth, Kansas has requirement for Elevator Maintenance Services beginning Oct 1, 2005. W91QF4-05-R-0012 will be a commercial purchase in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Sup plement (DFARS). Regulations are available at www.arnet.gov The solicitation package will be available Aug 23, 2005, 100% Small Business Set Aside, NAICS 238290, Building Equipment Contractors, FSC J035, SIC 1796. Small business size standard is less tha n $12 million average annual sales. Contractor shall provide all management, supervision, travel and transportation, materials, tools and equipment necessary to perform inspection, preventive maintenance and repairs to ensure continuous safe operation of e levators at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. There are 25 elevators (passenger, service, and wheelchair lifts) in 17 buildings with varying frequency of service. Contractor must be registered in Central Contractor Registration in order to receive award of contrac t. Registration can be obtained at www.ccr.gov . ASME / ANSI A17.2-88, The American Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators, can be obtained from The American Society of Mechanical Engineers, United Engine er Center, 345 East 47th Street, New York, NY 11017. The solicitation will include FAR 52.217-9 to permit base year (1 Oct 2005 through 30 Sep 2006) plus four annual option periods (through 30 Sep 2010). All contractor invoicing will be electronic in accordance with DFARS 252.232-7003. Acquisition is Subjec t to Availability of Funding (SAF) and will include FAR 52.232-18.
