- Description
- Provide all labor, materials, equipment and supervision to accomplish activities related to Upgrade Medical Gases. Work includes but limited to replace existing medical gas compressors and dryers, correct the medical gas sytem piping and installation of a new back up oxygen utility system. All work on the medical gas system and components thereof shall be accomplished by a contractor who has a minimum of three years of experience performing work on medical gas systems in medical care buildings. Documentation of such experience must be submitted and approved by the VA COTR prior to the start of any work. At the completion of all work the medical gas system and components thereof installed under this project must be tested and certified by an approved medical gas certification firm licensed by the State of Louisiana to perform medical gas system tests and certifications. The medical gas certification firm shall have no financial interest in either the general contractor or the subcontract firmwhich installed the medical gas system and components thereof. This procurment is subject to the availability of funds and a 90 day bid acceptance period is manatory. Bid Opening will be held on September 19, 2005, 2:00PM and interested parties are encourage to attend the Pre-Bid Conference on August 23, 2005 at 10:00AM, both to be held at the VA Medical Center, 1601 Perdido Street, Bldg. 2, Room 405, New Orleans 70112. All request for bidding documents must be in writing and accompanied by a refundable bid deposit in the amount of $50.00 made to the Dept of Veterans Affairs . Issue date for specs is August 18, 2005. The construction range for this project is $100,000 to $250,000. The NAICS is 238220 -$12.M. This procurement is not restricted.
