- Description
- This requirement is for Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineering Requirements (SABER). Subject acquisition consists of a broad range of maintenance, repair and minor construction work on real property at McConnell AFB KS. The entire solicitation, including the specifications and drawings, will be made available only on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) Web Site at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. No hard copies will be mailed. This is a firm fixed-priced indefinite delivery - indefinite quantity contract. The guaranteed minimum amount is $100,000 for the base year only. The magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The contractor will be required to furnish non-complex designs, materials, equipment, and personnel necessary to manage and accomplish the projects. This is a competitive Request for Proposal (RFP), which is limited to eligible 8(a) concerns. There will be no public bid opening. Award will be made based on Best Value to the Government using formal source selection procedures conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR Part 15.3) and Air Force Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (AFFARS 5315.3). The period of performance is expected to be one base year with four option years. The NAICS code for this requirement is 236220. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained in the solicitation package. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package, which should be on or about 1 June 2005 and any other pertinent information and for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package and drawings. Potential offerors MUST register at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ in order to receive notification and/or changes to the solicitation. All contractors MUST be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database and ORCA database or their proposal will not be considered. Contractors can obtain further information on the Central Contractor registration (CCR) and ORCA registration at web site http://www.ccr.gov/ and http://orca.bpn.gov/. All responsible, eligible 8(a) sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any proposal preparation costs.
