Description
The United States Postal Service, Western Facilities Service Office, is seeking interest from GENERAL CONTRACTORS to prequalify for one or more Indefinite Quantity Construction Contracts (IQCC)/Job Order Contracts (JOC) for repair and alteration projects within the MID-AMERICA DISTRICT. The term of the contracts will be for one year, with four possible one-year renewal options. The maximum aggregate amount under the contracts will not exceed $9.5 million dollars. A Job Order Contract is an indefinite quantity contract pursuant to which the contractor will perform a series of individual projects at different Postal Service facilities. Prequalified contractors will propose a Multiplier to be applied to a Unit Price Schedule. This Multiplier will apply to each unit price in the Unit Price Schedule. The geographical area is the MID-AMERICA DISTRICT, which includes Kansas Zip Codes 660-662, and 667 and Missouri Zip Codes 636-641, 644-649, and 654-658. If the contractor does NOT have an office located within the geographical area, the contractor must furnish information on how the company will administer the contract from their office outside of the area as required in the qualification statement. General Contractors must meet the following minimum requirements to apply: (1) Your firm must be willing and able to work on all projects that may occur within the Mid-America District and possess a valid contractor?s license(s) for each state included in the geographical area or provide a copy of the application(s) to obtain such license(s) in those states; (2) Your firm must provide proof of bonding with a minimum aggregate dollar amount of $2,500,000; (3) Your firm must have been in business, under the firm?s present name, for a minimum of five consecutive years. In addition, selected contractors will be required to possess or obtain the minimum computer requirements as outlined in the solicitation package. Factors used to evaluate the contractors who will meet the prequalification standards are detailed in the solicitation package and include financial capability, experience and safety. The Contractor Qualification Statements will be evaluated by a USPS Committee, and only the most qualified contractors will be selected.
