- Description
- The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), in support of the Networks, Information Assurance and Enterprise Services Program Office (PMW 160), intends to award a sole-source contract to Microsoft Corporation to provide Microsoft NT 4.0 Custom Support for workstations and servers and Microsoft Exchange 5.5 Custom Support. This is required for the contractor to provide obsolete product support. Additionally, Custom Support includes the development and dissemination of security hotfixes to address any identified security vulnerabilities for Microsoft NT 4.0 and Exchange 5.5 software. The proposed contract period of performance for Custom Support services will be required from January 1, 2006 through December 31, 2006 for Windows NT and through December 31, 2007 for Exchange 5.5. This request is considered to be sole source to Microsoft Corporation. (See Numbered Note 22. The wait period is reduced to 5 days for this commercial procurement).
