Description

The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Engineering Field Division, Specialty Center Contracts Core (SCCC), Code AQN00, Port Hueneme, CA 93043 intends to award on a Sole Source basis to Century Dynamics Incorporated of Concord, CA to demonstrate the state-of-the-art of analysis techniques used to depict the structural response to explosions for the Waterfront Structures Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Service Center, (NFESC), Port Hueneme, CA. Century Dynamics Incorporated is the leading authority for the analysis of explosion effects. They are the developers of the explosion effects analysis tool used by national and international explosion effects experts. Their Technical Director, Malcom Cowler is an international authority on analysis methods and techniques used to model explosion effects. The combination of his expertise and that of his staff represents the foremost authorities on analysis methods and techniques. This procurement is being issued using the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), FAR Part 13. See numbered notes. The authority for this sole source procurement is cited in FAR 5.202(a)(13). Firms that believe they can provide the required services are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 10 calendar days from the publication of this synopsis. A notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose to notify.
