- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Association for Professionals in Infection Control and EPID located in Washington, DC., for a Web-Based-Training Course. Conducted a web search and consulted infection control experts to identify vendor who develop and distribute educational curricula on infection control. Vendor must be have experience in the following: working experience, knowledge and expertise in infection control and healthcare epidemiology, must have established working groups/committees that are charged with addressing infection control issues related to bioterrorism or emerging infectious diseases, must a network of professionals whose knowledge mastery in infection control and applied epidemiology has been demonstrated by certification, must have experience inproviding educational infection control products for novice and experienced healthcare professionals, must have work experience in and educational course/materials design to reach professional in a variety of practice settings/specialties, including acute care, ambulatory care, home health, long-term, critical care, surgical care, behavioral health and pediatrics, must have experience developing and hosting state-of-the-art conferences, courses, seminars, and independent studies for continuing education credits on infection control and health care epidemiology topics. CDC believes that this requirement is met by only one provider. This procurement will be processed under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 6.302-2. Only one responsible source and no other sources will satisfy agency requirements. No solicitation is being issued. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. However, information received will be considered solely for information purposes only.
