Description
The purpose of this amendment is to formally address and answer questions regarding Solicitation W9124X-05-T-0019. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. Please ackowledge receipt of this amendment on each copy of the offer submitted by a separate letter or telegram referencing the solicitation and amendment numbers. FAILURE OF YOUR ACKNOWLEDGMENT TO BE RECEIVED AT THE PLACE DESIGNATED FOR THE RECEIPT OF OFFERS PRIOR TO THE HOUR AND DATE SPECIFIED MAY RESULT IN REJECTION OF YOUR OFFER. I f by virtue of this amendment you desire to change an offer already submitted, such change may be made by telegram or letter, provided each telegrarm or letter makes reference to the solicitation and this amendment, and is received prior to the opening hou r and date specified. 1) Question: What will the requested Portable Building be used for? Answer: A Medical Building. 2) Question: Does the electrical inside need to be explosion proof? Answer: Explosion-proof outlets are required. 3) Question: Is a fire rating needed for this Portable Building? Answer: No special fire ratings are required. 4) Question: How many shelters will be needed in this Request for Quotation? Answer: As per the Quantity listed at FED BIZ OPPS, 1 Each. 5) Question: Is the R30 Insulation a set specification? The reason the question is asked is because R30 Insulation requires a 9 inch wall thickness, and due to this specification, it is needed because the outside dimensions would need to accommodate a 9 inch thickness. Answer: R11 walls and R19 flooring and ceiling are acceptable or equals. 6) Question: Would the outside dimensions need to be changed for the specified 9 inch insulation thickness? Answer: No, however if any dimension changes quoted are different from the salient characteristics requested, ensure that the room space does not change. 7) Question: What is the heat load inside of the shelter? Answer: Minimal; no major computer or electronic equipment will be operated or used in the building. Standard office equipment will be used. 8) Question: Will this be a Communications Shelter: Answer: No. 9) Question: The requested door size: 30 X 60 inches, is not a standard door dimension and not IAW ADA Compliance. Is a standard door dimension acceptable? Answer: Yes 10) Question: T-111 is standard nomenclature for the plywood exterior siding. Steel siding would significantly extend the life cycle, and reduce the annual costs for the building, while at the same time improving the re-usable and recycle capability of the building because it can be relocated or expanded. Further, wood siding can provide a medium for insects and support the growth of mold. Will the Government accept minor alternates to the published RFQ where the submitter can demonstrate best value? Answer: Metal exterior siding is an acceptable or equal, however, all Or Equals are acceptable as long as the minimum salient characteristics are met. 11) Question: How is it ensured that the replies to the solicitation are considered satisfactory and have been received? Answer: Call Cheryl A. Fitch @ 775-887-7865 or email Cheryl.fitch@nv.ngb.army.mil or nvbids@nv.ngb.army.mil. Ensure that all clauses and provisions are read thoroughly and all questions asked before the offer due date.
